Pterodactyls is a play about, among other things, the systems of denial and the price they carry in the world. The Duncans are a family that so desperately want to connect but continue to be thwarted by their own self-interest. If our species has lost connection to family, perhaps we have lost something that cannot be recovered. But does anything really matter anyway?
